In addition, the Secretariat was requested to submit a baseline report to the Open-ended Working Group for consideration at its ninth meeting and to collect updated information using the format for reporting that it had developed and to prepare a report on the midterm evaluation of the strategic framework for consideration by the Conference of the Parties at its thirteenth meeting.

In paragraph 3 of decision SC-6/7, the Conference of the Parties requested the Secretariat to support parties in undertaking activities to collect and submit such information and to prepare a report highlighting challenges that may be encountered by parties in implementing the recommendations, for consideration by the Conference of the Parties at its seventh meeting.

(c) Further requested the secretariat to organize a technical workshop, which will take place from 8 to 10 October 2012 in Bonn, and to prepare a report on the workshop before the thirty-seventh session of the SBSTA.

Background: The SBSTA, at its fifteenth session, requested the secretariat to organize a workshop on the subject of cleaner or less greenhouse gas-emitting energy under the guidance of its Chairman, if possible prior to its sixteenth session, and to prepare a report on the workshop (FCCC/SBSTA/2001/8, para. 51 (b)).
