The 10-year plan for reducing disaster risks was adopted at the World Conference on Disaster Reduction in Kobe, Japan, in January 2005 and endorsed by the General Assembly in its resolution 60/195.
وقد اعتمدت الخطة العشرية للحد من مخاطر الكوارث في المؤتمر العالمي المعني بالحد من الكوارث المعقود في كوبي، اليابان، في كانون الثاني/يناير 2005 وأيدتها الجمعية العامة في قراراها 60/195.

53. The Committee strongly recommends that the State party ratify the amendments to article 8, paragraph 6, of the Convention, adopted on 15 January 1992 at the Fourteenth Meeting of States Parties to the Convention and endorsed by the General Assembly in its resolution 47/111.

13. As indicated in paragraph 21 of the introduction, the methodology followed for the preparation of the proposed programme budget is the same as that used for the current biennium and endorsed by the General Assembly in section III of its resolution 47/212 A of 23 December 1992.
٣١ - كما هو مبيﱠن في الفقرة ١٢ من المقدمة فإن المنهجية المتبعة في إعداد الميزانية البرنامجية المقترحة هي نفسها المنهجية التي استخدمت في فترة السنتين الجارية وأيدتها الجمعية العامة في الجزء الثالث من قرارها ٧٤/٢١٢ ألف المؤرخ ٣٢ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ٢٩٩١.

A set of new measures agreed upon by the Committee and endorsed by the General Assembly last year had included introduction of the principles of equitable geographical distribution and rotation in the composition of the bureaux of the Committee and its subsidiary bodies; a shortening of the duration of the sessions of those bodies; and a broadening of the activity of the Legal Subcommittee.

فلا بد من بــذل المزيد من الجهود وفقا للمبادئ التوجيهية التي وضعتها اللجنــة الاستشارية وأيدتها الجمعية العامة فيما يخص الميزانيــة البرنامجية لفترة السنتين ١٩٩٦-١٩٩٧.

4. Many delegations had asked what the effect of the proposed new study would be on the set of 16 verification principles developed by the United Nations Disarmament Commission and endorsed by the General Assembly in 1988.

In this context, the Government made explicit reference to the Safeguards Guaranteeing Protection of Those Facing the Death Penalty adopted by the Economic and Social Council in its resolution 1984/50 of 25 May 1984 and endorsed by the General Assembly in resolution 39/118 of 14 December 1984.
