Together with adjacent coastal States and other interested parties, Namibia played a significant role in the negotiations leading up to the Convention on the Conservation and Management of Fishery Resources in the South-East Atlantic Ocean, which provides for the establishment of the South East Atlantic Fisheries Organization (SEAFO).
وقد قامت ناميبيا، إلى جانب الدول الساحلية المجاورة والأطراف المعنية الأخرى، بدور هام في المفاوضات المؤدية إلى اتفاقية حفظ وإدارة موارد مصائد الأسماك في الجنوب الشرقي للمحيط الأطلسـي، التي تقضي بإنشاء منظمة مصائد جنوب شرقي المحيط الأطلسي.

The WCPFC and SEAFO conventions also provide for cooperation and coordination.
وتنص اتفاقية حفظ وإدارة أرصدة الأسماك الكثيرة الارتحال غرب ووسط المحيط الهادئ واتفاقية حفظ وإدارة موارد مصائد الأسماك في جنوب شرق المحيط الأطلسي أيضا على أنشطة التعاون والتنسيق.

Some States, in particular developing coastal States, have not become parties to the Agreement owing to the misconception that the Agreement addresses the conservation and management of fish stocks on the high seas only and therefore does not have any relevance to the conservation and Management of Fishery Resources in exclusive economic zones.
