The Council also called upon the Independent Expert to work in close coordination, while avoiding unnecessary duplication, with the Open-ended Working Group on Ageing, other special procedures and subsidiary organs of the Council, relevant United Nations bodies and the treaty bodies.

2. Urges the specialized, affiliated and subsidiary organs of the OIC System, to take effective measures to broaden the scope of their cooperation within the OIC System and with relevant international and regional organizations and groupings.

The General Assembly may wish to request the Secretary-General to initiate, in the framework of CEB, a review of the standards of travel and entitlements for members of various organs and subsidiary organs of the United Nations and organizations in the United Nations system with a view to formulating proposals for harmonizing these standards at the United Nations system level (paras. 72-75).
قد ترغب الجمعية العامة في أن تطلب إلى الأمين العام أن يشرع، في إطار مجلس الرؤساء التنفيذيين، في إعادة النظر في معايير واستحقاقات سفر أعضاء مختلف الأجهزة والأجهزة الفرعية التابعة لمؤسسات منظومة الأمم المتحدة، بهدف وضع مقترحات للمواءمة بين هذه المعايير على مستوى المنظومة (الفقرات 72-75).

The Committee on Conferences, while in favour of holding its session at Nairobi, was intent that full attendance by its members should be ensured for the session, which would require a decision by the Assembly regarding the applicability of its resolution 1798 (XVII) on the system of travel and subsistence allowances to members of organs and subsidiary organs of the United Nations.

With regard to the Council and its subsidiary machinery, progress has been made in several areas, including strengthening thematic unity across the different segments of the Council's substantive session; review of the working methods of the functional commissions; strengthening of the role of the United Nations regional commissions in conference follow-up.
