The purpose of this law is to suppress acts of human trafficking and sexual exploitation in order to protect the rights and dignity of human beings, as well as to comply with the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, supplementing the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime.

52. The Government reported on the ratification on 24 September 2003 of the Protocol against the Smuggling of Migrants by Land, Sea and Air and the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children.

The Committee takes note of the adoption in 2005 of the Human Trafficking Act, and its 2009 amendment, which brought the definition of trafficking in line with the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, supplementing the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime.

The Committee further encourages the State party to consider ratifying the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, especially Women and Children (known as the Trafficking Protocol).

The Ministry of Justice drafted a law (Addition of Some Articles to Turkish Criminal Code and Amendment of an Article in the Law to Combat Organized Crime) in conjunction with the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, supplementing the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime.

(21) The Committee takes note of the adoption in 2005 of the Human Trafficking Act, and its 2009 amendment, which brought the definition of trafficking in line with the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, supplementing the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime.

105. The Secretary-General also encourages Member States to consider ratifying the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and its supplemental Protocol against the Smuggling of Migrants by Land, Sea and Air and the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, and to fully implement them.
105 - ويشجع الأمين العام الدول الأطراف أيضا على النظر في التصديق على اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الجريمة المنظمة عبر الوطنية والبروتوكول المكمل للاتفاقية المتعلق بمكافحة تهريب المهاجرين عن طريق البر والبحر والجو، وبروتوكول منع الاتجار بالأشخاص ولا سيما النساء والأطفال وقمعه والمعاقبة عليه وتنفيذها بشكل كامل.

(19) The Committee notes that the State party has signed but not ratified the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, and the Protocol against the Smuggling of Migrants by Land, Sea and Air, supplementing the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime.

The Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) recommended that Maldives consider ratifying the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and accede to the 1951 Refugees Convention and its 1967 Protocol.
1- أوصت لجنة حقوق الطفل(9) ملديف بأن تنظر في التصديق على بروتوكول منع الاتجار بالأشخاص، وبخاصة النساء والأطفال وقمعه والمعاقبة عليه ونظام روما الأساسي للمحكمة الجنائية الدولية وبأن تنضم إلى اتفاقية اللاجئين لعام 1951 وبروتوكولها لعام 1967(10).
