1. Pursuant to decision 1999/PC/1 of the Commission on Population and Development acting as preparatory committee for the twenty-first special session of the General Assembly, a committee composed of the Bureau of the preparatory committee and the Secretariat was established to examine the applications of non-governmental organizations seeking accreditation to the twenty-first special session in accordance with paragraph (b) of that decision.
