1. Decides to convene the second Conference of States Parties and Signatories of Treaties that Establish Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zones and Mongolia in New York on 30 April 2010;
1 - تقرر عقد المؤتمر الثاني للدول الأطراف في معاهدات إنشاء مناطق خالية من الأسلحة النووية والدول الموقِّعة عليها ومنغوليا في نيويورك في 30 نيسان/أبريل 2010؛

4. Requests the Secretary-General to provide the necessary assistance and services as may be required for the second Conference of States Parties and Signatories of Treaties that Establish Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zones and Mongolia.
4 - تطلب إلى الأمين العام أن يقدم إلى المؤتمر الثاني للدول الأطراف في معاهدات إنشاء مناطق خالية من الأسلحة النووية والدول الموقِّعة عليها ومنغوليا ما قد يلزم له من مساعدة وخدمات ضرورية.

Pursuant to the request contained in paragraph 4 of the draft resolution, it is the understanding of the Secretary-General that Secretariat assistance and substantive support services to the second Conference of the States Parties and Signatories of Treaties that Establish Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zones and Mongolia would be required for its implementation.

Also pursuant to that resolution, UNODC commenced work to develop a comprehensive computer-based tool designed to enable States parties and Signatories to the Convention to keep track of their implementation efforts, identify implementation gaps and subsequent needs for technical assistance.

The Meeting discussed, among other things, the implementation of the Tlatelolco Declaration of 2005, as well as preparations for the follow-up Conference of States Parties and Signatories to Treaties that Establish Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zones and Mongolia and for the 2010 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

The Conference also invited States parties and States signatories to the Convention to provide voluntary contributions to the Office for its technical assistance activities in order to further the implementation of the Convention and its Protocols, in particular with respect to the above-mentioned recommendations as well as the proposals contained in the working paper prepared by the Secretariat.
ودعا كذلك الدول الأطراف في الاتفاقية والدول الموقِّعة عليها إلى تقديم تبرعات إلى المكتب من أجل أنشطته الخاصة بالمساعدة التقنية بغية المضيّ قُدماً في تنفيذ الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها، وخصوصاً فيما يتعلق بالتوصيات المذكورة أعلاه وكذا المقترحات الواردة في ورقة العمل التي أعدّتها الأمانة.
