The Committee recommends that the State party, while taking into account the Committee's general comment No. 3 (2003) on HIV/AIDS and the rights of the child and the International Guidelines on HIV/AIDS and Human Rights:

559. In this respect, the Committee wishes to draw the attention of the State party to its general comment No. 3 of 2003 on HIV/AIDS and the rights of the child, and on the International Guidelines on HIV/AIDS and Human Rights (E/CN.4/1997/37).

It was generally recognized, however, that further actions were needed to fully implement the resolutions and the 2008 International Guidelines for the Management of Deep-Sea Fisheries in the High Seas of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

Taking into consideration the Committee's general recommendation No. 30 (2005) on discrimination against non-citizens and the International Guidelines on HIV/AIDS and Human Rights, adopted at the Second International Consultation on HIV/AIDS and Human Rights in 1996, the Committee recommends that the State party:

In the light of its general comment No. 3 (CRC/GC/2003/3) and the International Guidelines on HIV/AIDS and Human Rights, the Committee recommends that the State party provide for a system of voluntary testing for HIV/AIDS with full respect of the right to privacy and confidentiality and improve the surveillance system to detect cases of HIV/AIDS.

(d) Take into account the Committee's general comment No. 3 (2003) on HIV/AIDS and the rights of the child (CRC/GC/2003/3) and the International Guidelines on HIV/AIDS and Human Rights (E/CN.4/1997/37, annex I) in developing its policies and programmes.

(a) To continue its efforts to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS, taking into account the Committee's general comment No. 3 (2003) on HIV/AIDS and the rights of the child and the International Guidelines on HIV/AIDS and Human Rights;

247. With reference to the Committee's general comment No. 3 (2003) on HIV/AIDS and the rights of the child and the International Guidelines on HIV/AIDS and Human Rights, the Committee recommends, in particular, that the State party:

A wide range of actions also continue to be taken to address the impacts of bottom fishing on vulnerable marine ecosystems and the long-term sustainability of deep-sea fish stocks, in line with relevant General Assembly resolutions and the 2008 FAO International Guidelines for the Management of Deep-sea Fisheries in the High Seas.
