This is one of the four priority areas for action within the issue of population dynamics considered by the Open Working Group of the General Assembly on Sustainable Development Goals.

After a complex but also effective debate about the concept of sustainable development and its components, a comprehensive framework of goals and targets was proposed by the Open Working Group of the General Assembly on Sustainable Development Goals (see A/68/970).

The participants in the meeting expressed appreciation for the fact that the report prepared by the Open Working Group of the General Assembly on Sustainable Development Goals (A/68/970) reflected the crucial role that the criminal justice system and its constituent institutions could play as a pillar for the achievement of sustainable development.

The Secretariat provided an Information meeting in preparation for the UNCITRAL 46th session of the Commission held in Vienna on 2 July 2013 and a briefing on Relevance of UNCITRAL to the 8th session of the General Assembly Open Working Group on Sustainable Development Goals (the OWG) on 20 January 2014 in New York.
٦١- نظمت الأمانة جلسة إعلامية في إطار الاستعداد للدورة السادسة والأربعين للجنة الأونسيترال التي عُقدت في فيينا في 2 تموز/يوليه 2013، كما قدَّمت إحاطة عن أهميَّة أعمال الأونسيترال بالنسبة إلى الدورة الثامنة للفريق العامل المفتوح باب العضوية التابع للجمعية العامة والمعني بأهداف التنمية المستدامة في 20 كانون الثاني/يناير 2014 في نيويورك.

17. The sustainable public procurement programme, led by UNEP and co-led by KEITI and ICLEI, was formally launched on 1 April 2014, in the margins of the tenth session of the Open Working Group of the General Assembly on Sustainable Development Goals, held in New York.
17 - استُهل برنامج الشراء العام المستدام الذي يقوده برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة بمشاركة معهد الصناعة والتكنولوجيا البيئيتين بكوريا والمجلس الدولي للمبادرات البيئية المحلية في 1 نيسان/أبريل 2014، على هامش الدورة العاشرة للفريق العامل المفتوح باب العضوية التابع للجمعية العامة والمعني بأهداف التنمية المستدامة التي عقدت في نيويورك.

6. A preliminary analysis undertaken by the Statistical Division of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs shows that indicators derived from SEEA would be of relevance to the measurement of progress made against 13 of the 17 sustainable development goals proposed by the Open Working Group of the General Assembly on Sustainable Development Goals.
٦ - ويتضح من تحليل أولي أجرته الشعبة الإحصائية التابعة لإدارة الشؤون الاقتصادية والاجتماعية أن المؤشرات المستمدَّة من نظام المحاسبة البيئية - الاقتصادية ستكون مهمة لقياس التقدم المحرز صوب تحقيق 13 هدفا من أهداف التنمية المستدامة البالغ عددها 17 هدفا التي اقترحها الفريق العامل المفتوح باب العضوية التابع للجمعية العامة والمعني بأهداف التنمية المستدامة.

It further recommends that the Assembly request the Secretary-General to include in future reports information on the division of new and existing roles among the different United Nations entities working in the area of sustainable development and their inputs, as well as information on the contribution to the intergovernmental process of the United Nations system support group on Sustainable Development Goals (see para. 26 below).
كما توصي بأن تطلب الجمعية العامة إلى الأمين العام أن يضمِّن التقارير المقبلة معلومات عن تقسيم الأدوار الجديدة والقائمة بين مختلف كيانات الأمم المتحدة العاملة في ميدان التنمية المستدامة وعن إسهاماتها، إلى جانب معلومات عن مساهمة فريق الدعم التابع لمنظومة الأمم المتحدة والمعني بأهداف التنمية المستدامة في العملية الحكومية الدولية (انظر الفقرة 26 أدناه).

(c) Recognized SEEA as an important statistical framework for the post-2015 development agenda and the sustainable development goals indicators, and requested the Committee of Experts to review the statistical notes prepared for the Open Working Group of the General Assembly on Sustainable Development Goals to ensure that SEEA is adequately reflected;
