174. Mentioning that the contribution of migrant associations and diasporas to development had been addressed in previous Forum meetings, the Co-Chairs underlined that only a limited focus had been placed on assessing the concrete impact of such contributions, initiatives and projects of migrant associations.
174 - ذكر الرئيسان المشاركان أن إسهام رابطات المهاجرين والمغتربين في التنمية جرى تناوله في جلسات سابقة للمنتدى، وشددوا على أنه لم يجر التركيز إلا بشكل محدود على تقييم الأثر الملموس لهذه المساهمات والمبادرات والمشاريع التي تقدمها رابطات المهاجرين.

Boosting the contribution of remittances and the diaspora to LDC development required policy action, inter alia, the development and diversification of financial sector, the reduction of remittance costs, diaspora engagement programmes and macroeconomic policies to crowd in private investment.
فتدعيم مساهمة التحويلات والمغتربين في تنمية أقل البلدان نمواً يستدعي اتخاذ إجراءات سياساتية منها تطوير القطاع المالي وتنويعه وتخفيض تكاليف التحويلات واعتماد برامج لتشجيع مشاركة المغتربين وسياسات اقتصاد كلي لتعبئة الاستثمار الخاص.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic affirms that it strives assiduously to respect the principle of good-neighbourly relations and cooperation in order to ensure security along the shared border.

In a letter dated 25 July 2014 addressed to me, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon requested that the Council extend the mandate of UNIFIL for a further period of one year, without amendment.
وفي رسالة مؤرخة 25 تموز/يوليه 2014، موجهة إليّ من وزير الخارجية والمغتربين في الجمهورية اللبنانية، طلب أن يقوم المجلس بتمديد ولاية اليونيفيل لفترة أخرى مدتها سنة واحدة، دونما تعديل.

In a letter dated 22 July 2011 addressed to me, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon requested that the Security Council extend the mandate of UNIFIL for a further period of one year, without amendment.

28. The Meeting decided to designate His Excellency Dr. Ali Al-Chami, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon as the President of the Second Meeting of States Parties, assisted by the Permanent Representative of Lebanon to the United Nations in Geneva.
28- وقرر الاجتماع تعيين معالي الدكتور علي الشامي، وزير الخارجية والمغتربين في لبنان، رئيساً للاجتماع الثاني للدول الأطراف، يساعده الممثل الدائم للبنان لدى مكتب الأمم المتحدة في جنيف.

16. On 11 September 2012, the Third Meeting of States Parties was opened by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Republic of Lebanon, President of the Second Meeting of States Parties to the Convention, Adnan Mansour.
16- تولى عدنان منصور، وزير الخارجية والمغتربين في الجمهورية اللبنانية ورئيس الاجتماع الثاني للدول الأطراف في الاتفاقية، افتتاح الاجتماع الثالث للدول الأطراف في 11 أيلول/سبتمبر 2012.

At its first plenary meeting, on 13 September 2011, the Meeting elected by acclamation Adnan Mansour, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Republic of Lebanon, assisted by Najla Riachi Assaker, Permanent Representative of Lebanon to the United Nations in Geneva, as President of the Second Meeting of States Parties to the Convention.
وأقرّ الاجتماع بالتزكية في جلسته العامة الأولى، المعقودة في 13 أيلول/سبتمبر 2011، تعيين السيد عدنان منصور، وزير الخارجية والمغتربين في لبنان رئيساً للاجتماع الثاني للدول الأطراف في الاتفاقية، تعاونه في ذلك نجلا رياشي عساكر، الممثلة الدائمة للبنان لدى الأمم المتحدة في جنيف.

I have the honour to transmit herewith a letter dated 5 November 2011 from H.E. Walid Al-Moualem, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Syrian Arab Republic, addressed to the President of the Security Council (see annex).

7. The Meeting decided to designate His Excellency Dr. Ali Al-Chami, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon as the President of the Second Meeting of States Parties and decided to hold the meeting in Beirut, Lebanon from 12 to 16 September 2011.
7- وقرر الاجتماع تعيين معالي الدكتور علي الشامي، وزير الخارجية والمغتربين في لبنان رئيساً للاجتماع الثاني للدول الأطراف، وقرر أن يعقد الاجتماع في بيروت بلبنان في الفترة من 12 إلى 16 أيلول/سبتمبر 2011.

14. In summary, the report's main messages were that (a) remittances were rising and were more important for LDCs than for other countries; (b) the intensity of brain drain was much higher in LDCs than in other countries, but the diaspora could potentially contribute strongly to LDC development; and (c) boosting the contribution of remittances and diasporas to LDC development required proactive policy action.
14- وتمثلت رسائل التقرير الرئيسية إجمالاً في أن (أ) التحويلات تتزايد وهي أهم بالنسبة إلى أقل البلدان نمواً منها إلى سائر البلدان؛ و(ب) تتسم هجرة الأدمغة بحدة أكبر في أقل البلدان نمواً منها في سائر البلدان لكن باستطاعة المغتربين أن يساهموا بقوة في تنمية أقل البلدان نمواً؛ و(ج) يستدعي تدعيم مساهمة التحويلات والمغتربين في تنمية أقل البلدان نمواً اتخاذ إجراءات سياساتية تتسم بالمبادرة.

The Joint Special Envoy periodically received letters from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic informing him about the number of international journalists and media organizations, including from other Arab countries, who had been given entry visas.
وتلقى المبعوث الخاص المشترك بصفة دورية رسائل من نائب رئيس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية والمغتربين في الجمهورية العربية السورية، يـبلغه فيها بعدد الصحفيين الدوليين والمؤسسات الإعلامية الدولية، بما في ذلك من الدول العربية الأخرى، الذين تم منحهم تأشيرات دخول.
