It was observed that the paragraph did not focus on the cooperation between the United Nations and regional organizations in these areas.
ولوحظ أن الفقرة لم تركز على التعاون بين اﻷمم المتحدة والمنظمات الاقليمية في هذه المجالات.

It was further observed that cooperation between the United Nations and regional organizations in the maintenance of international peace and security should be in accordance with the provisions of the Charter, including the principles of sovereign equality and non-interference in the internal affairs of States.

The Charter of the United Nations contains useful recommendations on relations between the United Nations and regional organizations in the peaceful settlement of local disputes.
ويتضمن ميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة توصيات مفيدة بشأن العلاقات بين اﻷمم المتحدة والمنظمات الاقليمية في التسوية السلمية للنزاعات المحلية.

5. Publication of the practice of States and international and regional organizations in the field of international law
٥ - نشر ممارسات الدول والمنظمات الدولية والمنظمات الاقليمية في ميدان القانون الدولي

It is possible, in this respect, to develop a pattern of cooperation between the Security Council and regional organizations in matters relating to the maintenance of international peace and security, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter VIII of the Charter.
وفي هذا الصدد من الممكن ايجاد نمط متطور للتعاون بين مجلس اﻷمن والمنظمات الاقليمية في مجال حفظ السلم واﻷمن استنادا الى ما ورد في الفصل الثامن من الميثاق.

They highlighted particularly the question of the cooperation between the United Nations and regional organizations in the maintenance of international peace and security, as well as the question of assistance to third States affected by the imposition of sanctions under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.
وأبرزت الوفود بصفة خاصة مسألة التعاون بين اﻷمم المتحدة والمنظمات الاقليمية في صيانة السلم واﻷمن الدوليين، وكذلك مسألة تقديم المساعدة الى الدول الثالثة التي يؤثر عليها فرض جزاءات بموجب الفصل السابع من ميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة.

It is in this context that we particularly welcome the Secretary-General's proposals in his report " An Agenda for Peace " , relating to cooperation between the United Nations and regional organizations in resolving conflicts, in peacemaking as well as peace building.
وفي هذا السياق نرحب بشكل خاص بمقترحات اﻷمين العام في تقريره المعنون " خطة للسلام " فيما يتعلق بالتعاون بين اﻷمم المتحدة والمنظمات الاقليمية في حل الصراعات وصنع السلم وكذلك في بناء السلم.

Cooperation between the United Nations and regional organizations in peace-keeping endeavours should continue to be explored to optimize the use of material and human resources and to put the mandates entrusted to those missions into practice in the quickest, most efficient and successful way.
وينبغي الاستمرار في تقصي فرص التعاون بين اﻷمم المتحدة والمنظمات الاقليمية في جهود حفظ السلام تحقيقا للاستخدام اﻷمثل للموارد المادية والبشرية ولتنفيذ المهام المسندة إلى هذه البعثات بأسرع وأكفأ وأنجع الطرق.

15. On the question of the enhancement of cooperation between the United Nations and regional organizations in the maintenance of international peace and security, all the representatives who spoke emphasized the importance of enhancing such cooperation in the maintenance of international peace and security and the settlement of disputes.
٥١ - وفيما يتعلق بمسألة تعزيز التعاون بين اﻷمم المتحدة والمنظمات الاقليمية في ميدان صون السلم واﻷمن الدوليين، أكد جميع الممثلين الذين تكلموا أهمية تعزيز هذا التعاون في ميدان صون السلم واﻷمن الدوليين وتسوية المنازعات.

3/ On 11 March 1993, the Chairman held informal consultations with representatives of the intergovernmental organizations invited to participate in the plenary meetings of the Special Committee on the Question of Cooperation between the United Nations and regional organizations in the Maintenance of International Peace and Security (see A/AC.182/1993/CRP.3, para. 9).

The Secretary-General's report " An Agenda for Peace " (A/47/277-S/24111) provided some useful suggestions in that connection, in particular with regard to enhancing the role of the General Assembly, the International Court of Justice and regional organizations in the areas of preventive diplomacy, confidence-building, peacemaking and peace-keeping.
ويقدم تقرير اﻷمين العام " خطة للسلام " (A/47/277-S/24111) بعض الاقتراحات المفيدة في هذا الصـدد، )السيدة أريفين، ماليزيا( ولا سيما فيما يتعلق بتعزيز دور الجمعية العامة ومحكمة العدل الدولية والمنظمات الاقليمية في مجالات الدبلوماسية الوقائية وبناء الثقة وصنع السلم وحفظ السلم.
