5. Regarding the freezing of funds, other financial assets and economic resources of persons and/or entities designated in the annex to resolution 1737, the mentioned resolution was disseminated to the Portuguese financial institutions on 2 January 2007, by the Ministry of Finance, the competent authority for the application of these international sanctions.

4. Hungary has the following national legislation regarding economic and financial sanctions, which together with Council Regulation (EC) No. 560/2005 and Commission Regulation (EC) No. 250/2006 provide the basis for the freezing of funds and economic resources of persons and entities designated under Security Council resolution 1572 (2004):

8. His Government had taken major steps to combat terrorism by implementing the necessary instruments to freeze without delay funds and other financial assets or economic resources of persons who committed or attempted to commit terrorist acts, or who tried to participate in or facilitate the commission of terrorist acts, and of companies owned or controlled directly or indirectly by such persons.
