The preparations for the additional protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child relating to the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography that are now in progress should also commit the future signatories to take necessary measures to give their courts worldwide competence to ensure prosecution and punishment of these acts, wherever they are committed.

54. The working group was established by the Commission in its resolution 1995/78 of 8 March 1995 to elaborate guidelines on a possible optional protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography.

5. His delegation welcomed the fact that the Special Rapporteur on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography had taken up issues such as the victimization of children in the judicial system and the sale or trafficking of children for purposes other than sexual exploitation.
٥ - ورحب وفده بقيام المقررة الخاصة المعنية بمسألة بيع اﻷطفال وبغاء اﻷطفال واستغلال اﻷطفال في المطبوعات الخليعة بطرح مسائل من مثل إساءة معاملة اﻷطفال في النظام القضائي وبيع اﻷطفال أو الاتجار بهم ﻷغراض عدا الاستغلال الجنسي.

27. Turkey also supported the two optional protocols to the Convention on the Rights of the Child and hoped that the working group on the draft optional protocol on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography would soon complete a text.
