EXPRESS our satisfaction with the fruitful cooperation between the African Union Commission, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and the African Development Bank in Africa's mobilization against the current financial crisis, and call for the continued mutual exchange of information and ideas on the situation;

In this context, my delegation also acknowledges the important role of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, which, in cooperation with the Organization of African Unity and the African Development Bank, continues to play a crucial role in the establishment and consolidation of the African Economic Community and the subregional economic communities, which will serve as building blocks for the Community.
