١٢ - تطلب أيضا إلى حكومة جمهورية إيران اﻹسلامية أن تستفيد على النحو الكامل من برامج التعاون التقني في ميدان حقوق اﻹنسان، وترحب في هذا الصدد برغبة الحكومة في إدراج المعايير الدولية لحقوق اﻹنسان ضمن المقررات الجامعية؛

8. Encourages the Government of Rwanda to protect and promote respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, stresses the need to create an environment conducive to the realization of civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights, and to the return by refugees and displaced persons to their homes, and welcomes in this regard the commitments made by the Government of Rwanda;
٨ - تشجع حكومة رواندا على حماية وتعزيز احترام حقوق اﻹنسان والحريات اﻷساسية، وتشدد على الحاجة الى تهيئة بيئة تفضي الى إعمال الحقوق المدنية والسياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية، والى عودة اللاجئين والمشردين الى ديارهم، وترحب في هذا الصدد بالالتزامات التي عقدتها حكومة رواندا؛

8. Commends the efforts of the Commissioner-General to move towards budgetary transparency and internal efficiency, and welcomes in this respect the new, unified budget structure for the biennium 2000-2001, which can contribute significantly to improved budgetary transparency of the Agency;

Welcomes the contribution of the process of Global Consultations on International Protection to strengthening the international framework for refugee protection and to equipping States to better address the challenges in a spirit of dialogue and cooperation, and welcomes in that connection the Agenda for Protection;

24- تؤكد مجددا أن احترام حقوق الإنسان والقانون الإنساني الدولي، وكذلك التنمية، تساهم في تحقيق السلم، وترحب في هذا الصدد بالنداء الذي وجهه مجلس الأمن في قراره 1234(1999) المؤرخ 9 نيسان/أبريل 1999 من أجل عقد مؤتمر دولي يعنى بالسلم والأمن والاستقرار في منطقة البحيرات الكبرى؛
