وتذكِّر اللجنة بأنه وفقاً للمادة 36 من العهد يوفر الأمين العام ما لزم من موظفين وتسهيلات لتمكين اللجنة من الاضطلاع الفعال بوظائفها، وتنبه إلى مطالباتها المتكررة بموظفين إضافيين لمواكبة تزايد عدد الدول الأطراف في العهد وفي البروتوكول الاختياري.
