In resolution 1990/15, the Economic and Social Council noted, in conclusions arising from the first review and appraisal of the implementation of the Nairobi Strategies, that:
٨٤ - ولاحظ المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في القرار ١٩٩٠/١٥، المتعلق بالاستنتاجات الناشئة عن أول استعراض وتقييم لتنفيذ استراتيجيات نيروبي التطلعية أنه:

Recalling Economic and Social Council resolution 1990/15 of 24 May 1990 on recommendations and conclusions arising from the first review and appraisal of the implementation of the Nairobi Forward-looking Strategies for the Advancement of Women to the Year 2000,
إذ تشير الى قرار المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي ١٩٩٠/١٥ المؤرخ في ٢٤ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٠ والمتعلق بالتوصيات والاستنتاجات الناشئة عن أول استعراض وتقييم لتنفيذ استراتيجيات نيروبي التطلعية للنهوض بالمرأة بحلول العام ٢٠٠٠،

97. By its resolution 36/8, the Commission decided that the agenda of the Conference should include the second review and appraisal of the implementation of the Nairobi Forward-looking Strategies.
٩٧ - قررت اللجنة بموجب قرارها ٣٦/٨ أن يتضمن جدول أعمال المؤتمر " ثاني استعراض وتقييم لتنفيذ استراتيجيات نيروبي التطلعية للنهوض بالمرأة " .

This theme was suggested by the recommendations and conclusions arising from the first review and appraisal of the implementation of the Nairobi Forward-looking Strategies for the Advancement of Women 1/ to the year 2000, contained in the annex to Council resolution 1990/15.

10. As has been shown in the 1994 World Survey on the Role of Women in Development 2/ and in the second review and appraisal of the implementation of the Nairobi Forward-looking Strategies for the Advancement of Women, changes in the global economy have had a noticeable gender dimension.
١٠ - كما ورد في الدراسة الاستقصائية عن دور المرأة في التنمية في العالم لعام ١٩٩٤)٢(، وفي ثاني استعراض وتقييم لتنفيذ استراتيجيات نيروبي التطلعية للنهوض بالمرأة، كان للتغيرات التي طرأت على الاقتصاد العالمي بعد ملحوظ يتعلق بالفوارق بين الجنسين.

1. By its resolution 36/8 on the preparations for the Fourth World Conference on Women: Action for Equality, Development and Peace, the Commission on the Status of Women decided that the agenda for the Conference should include the second review and appraisal of the implementation of the Nairobi Forward-looking Strategies for the Advancement of Women.
١ - قررت لجنة مركز المرأة، بموجب قرارها ٣٦/٨ المتعلق باﻷعمال التحضيرية للمؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة: العمل من أجل المساواة والتنمية والسلم، أن يتضمن جدول أعمال المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة ثاني استعراض وتقييم لتنفيذ استراتيجيات نيروبي التطلعية للنهوض بالمرأة .

7. The Economic and Social Council, in its resolution 1990/15 (adopted by the Council upon the recommendation of the Commission on the Status of Women, at its thirty-fourth session), adopted the recommendations and conclusions arising from the first review and appraisal of the implementation of the Nairobi Forward-looking Strategies, contained in the annex to that resolution.
٧ - وقد اعتمد المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في قراره ١٩٩٠/١٥ )المتخذ بناء على توصية لجنة مركز المرأة في دورتها الرابعة والثلاثين(، التوصيات والاستنتاجات الناشئة من أول استعراض وتقييم لتنفيذ استراتيجيات نيروبي التطلعية للنهوض بالمرأة، والمتضمنة في مرفق ذلك القرار.

Its meetings have facilitated timely receipt of contributions from the United Nations system to a variety of reports under preparation in the Conference secretariat, including the second review and appraisal of the implementation of the Nairobi Forward-looking Strategies for the Advancement of Women, 1/ and the drafting process of the platform for action.
وقد يسرت هذه الاجتماعات ورود اﻹسهامات من منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة في الوقت المناسب في مجموعة من التقارير التي يجري إعدادها في أمانة المؤتمر، منها ثاني استعراض وتقييم لتنفيذ استراتيجيات نيروبي التطلعية من أجل النهوض بالمرأة)١(. وعملية صياغة منهاج العمل.
