228. the Committee notes with satisfaction the adoption of a number of laws directly affecting the establishment and development of institutions and policies for the protection of human rights, such as the recent Act declaring all paramilitary groups illegal, the Territorial Communities Act, which eliminates the former autocratic system of section chiefs and provides for local authorities elected by the people, and the Electoral Act.
٢٢٨ - وتلاحظ اللجنة بارتياح اعتماد عدد من القوانين التي تؤثر مباشرة في إنشاء وتطوير المؤسسات ووضع السياسات لحماية حقوق اﻹنسان، مثل القانون اﻷخير الذي يعلن عدم شرعية كافة المجموعات شبه العسكرية، وقانون المجتمعات اﻹقليمية، الذي يلغي نظام رؤساء اﻷقسام اﻷوتوقراطي السابق وينص على إنشاء سلطات محلية ينتخبها الشعب، والقانون الانتخابي.

9. the Committee notes with satisfaction the adoption of various measures to enhance employment opportunities for women, such as the continuous training courses delivered for women through the Women Empowerment Programme project; and the revision carried out by the National Remuneration Board in 2008 with regard to the wage gap between women and men for field-crop and orchard workers, as well as for livestock workers.
9- وتلاحظ اللجنة بارتياح اعتماد تدابير مختلفة لتعزيز فرص العمل للمرأة، من قبيل الدورات التدريبية المتواصلة الموفَّرة للنساء من خلال مشروع برنامج تمكين المرأة؛ والتعديل الذي أدخله المجلس الوطني للأجور في عام 2008 بخصوص الفجوة القائمة في الأجور بين النساء والرجال بالنسبة للعاملين في الحقول والبساتين، فضلاً عن العاملين في مجال تربية الماشية.

the Committee notes with satisfaction the adoption of a range of laws at the national, provincial and local level to protect the rights of minorities, in particular the revised Regional Ethnic Autonomy Law of the People's Republic of China of 2001 and the Rules of the State Council on the implementation of that law adopted in 2005, as well as the Regulations on Ethnic Work in Cities and the Regulations on Ethnic Administrative Work.
4- وتلاحظ اللجنة بارتياح اعتماد طائفة من القوانين على الصعيد الوطني والإقليمي والمحلي من أجل حماية حقوق الأقليات، لا سيما القانون الإقليمي المنقَح المتعلق بالحكم الذاتي للإثنيات في جمهورية الصين الشعبية لعام 2001 وقواعد مجلس الدولة بشأن تنفيذ ذلك القانون التي اعتمدت في 2005، وكذا اللوائح المتعلقة بعمل الأقليات الإثنية في المدن والقوانين المتعلقة بالعمل الإداري للإثنيات.
