In paragraph 3 of its resolution 65/191, the General Assembly acknowledged the catalytic role of the Commission on the Status of Women in promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women based on the full implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcomes of the twenty-third special session and in promoting and monitoring gender mainstreaming within the United Nations system.
49 - أقرت الجمعية العامة في الفقرة 3 من قرارها 65/191 بالدور الحفاز للجنة وضع المرأة، وتعزيز المساواة بين الجنسين وتمكين المرأة على أساس التنفيذ الكامل لإعلان ومنهاج العمل بيجين ونتائج الدورة الاستثنائية الثالثة والعشرين، وفي تعزيز ورصد تعميم مراعاة المنظور الجنساني في منظومة الأمم المتحدة.

Requests UNICEF to work closely with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN-Women), working as part of the United Nations country team, to advance gender equality and the empowerment of women on the basis of complementary and synergetic relationships in order to help to achieve national priorities and targets in the field of gender equality and the empowerment of women;
