AND WHEREAS the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya and the Republic of Chad signed on 4 April 1994 an Agreement concerning the practical modalities for the implementation of the Judgment of the International Court of Justice;

The Permanent Mission of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya to the United Nations presents its compliments to the Secretary-General and has the honour to enclose herewith text of the joint declaration signed at Aouzou village on 13 May 1994 by the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya and the Republic of Chad on the withdrawal of the Libyan administration and forces from the Aouzou Strip.
تهدي البعثة الدائمة للجماهيرية العربية الليبية لدى اﻷمم المتحدة تحياتها إلى اﻷمين العام ويشرفها أن ترفق طيا نص الاعلان المشترك الذي وقعته في قرية أوزو في ١٣ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٤ الجماهيرية العربية الليبية الشعبية الاشتراكية العظمى وجمهورية تشاد بشأن انسحاب الادارة الليبية والقوات الليبية من شريط أوزو.

NOW THEREFORE, the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya and the Republic of Chad hereby declare that the withdrawal of the Libyan administration and forces from the Aouzou Strip has been effected as of this day, thirtieth of May, nineteen hundred and ninety-four, to the satisfaction of both parties and monitored by the United Nations Aouzou Strip Observer Group.
عليه اﻵن فإن الجماهيرية العربية الليبية الشعبية الاشتراكية العظمى وجمهورية تشاد تعلنان بموجب هذا أن انسحاب الادارة الليبية والقوات الليبية من شريط أوزو قد نفذ اعتبارا من هذا اليوم، الثلاثين من أيار/مايو عام أربعة وتسعين وتسعمائة وألف، بما يرضي الطرفين وبمراقبة فريق مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة في شريط أوزو،

Now therefore, the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya and the Republic of Chad hereby declare that the withdrawal of the Libyan administration and forces from the Aouzou Strip has been effected as of this day, thirtieth of May nineteen hundred ninety-four, to the satisfaction of both Parties and monitored by the United Nations Aouzou Strip Observer Group.
لذا تعلن الجماهيرية العربية الليبية الشعبية الاشتراكية العظمى وجمهورية تشاد أن انسحاب الادارة والقوات الليبية من قطاع أوزو نفذ في هذا اليوم الثلاثين من أيار/مايو سنة ألف وتسعمائة وأربع وتسعين، بما يرضي الطرفين وتحت اشراف فريق مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة في قطاع أوزو.

It welcomed, in this regard, the signature of good intentions and peace-building agreement in Doha on 17 February 2009 between the Government of the Sudan and the Justice and Equality Movement, in the framework of the Arab-African initiative of peace-building in Darfur, as well as the agreement of reconciliation and normalization of relations between the Republic of the Sudan and the Republic of Chad, signed on 3 May 2009.
ورحب في هذا الصدد بتوقيع اتفاقية النوايا الحسنة وبناء السلام في الدوحة في 17 شباط/فبراير 2009 بين الحكومة السودانية وحركة العدل والمساواة في إطار المبادرة العربية الأفريقية لبناء السلام في دارفور، وكذا اتفاق المصالحة وتطبيع العلاقات بين جمهورية السودان وجمهورية تشاد الذي أبرم في 3 أيار/مايو 2009.

2. In letters to me dated 6 and 7 April 1994, respectively, the Permanent Representatives of the Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya (S/1994/402), and the Republic of Chad referred to the Agreement signed on 4 April 1994 between their two Governments regarding the practical modalities for the implementation of the decision of the International Court of Justice on 3 February 1994 regarding the Aouzou strip.
في رسالتين موجهتين إليﱠ مؤرختين ٦ و ٧ نيسان/ابريل ١٩٩٤ على التوالي، أشار الممثلان الدائمان للجماهيريــة العربيــة الليبيــة الشعبية الاشتراكيــة )S/1994/402(، وجمهورية تشاد إلى الاتفاق الموقع في ٤ نيسان/ابريل ١٩٩٤ بيــن حكومتيهما بشــأن الطرق العمليـــة لتنفيذ حكم محكمة العدل الدولية الصادر في ٣ شباط/فبراير ١٩٩٤ بخصوص قطاع أوزو.

I have the honour to transmit to you herewith the final communiqué of the summit meeting held on 2 October 2002 at Libreville under the aegis of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community on the situation between the Central African Republic and Chad (see annex).

Thus far, only the Central African Republic, the Republic of Chad and the Gabonese Republic had ratified that important instrument.
