At the time of my first report on the situation of children in Sudan (S/2006/662), a dialogue was under way with various armed forces and groups, including the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Sudan People's Liberation Army through the Ceasefire Joint Military Committee and the Sudan Liberation Army factions of Minawi and Wahid in Darfur.
