It further expresses concern at the extensive power of the Minister of Labour and Social Security to refer an industrial dispute to arbitration, including disputes that are not in essential public services, under sections 9, 10 and 11(A) of the Labour Relations and Industrial Disputes Act (art. 8).

(b) The employment of a child is allowed for the purposes of performance in cultural, artistic, sports or advertising activities, on condition that the activities are not harmful to his/her safety, health or development and provided that a relevant licence is granted by the Minister of Labour and Social Insurance.
