In a letter dated 24 January 2005, Ms. Chokila Iyer, a national of India and member of the Committee (whose term of office was due to expire on 31 December 2006) notified the SecretaryGeneral through the Chairperson of the Committee of her decision to resign her membership of the Committee as from 25 January 2005.

At the request of the representative of the Netherlands (on behalf of the States members of the European Union that are members of the Commission Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as well as the acceding country that is a member of the Commission Romania), a recorded vote was taken on the draft decision, which was adopted by 26 votes to 25, with 1 abstention.
514- وبناءً على طلبٍ ممثل هولندا (نيابة عن الدول الأعضاء في الاتحاد الأوروبي الأعضاء في اللجنة - وهي ألمانيا، وآيرلندا، وإيطاليا، وفرنسا، وفنلندا، والمملكة المتحدة لبريطانيا العظمى وآيرلندا الشمالية، وهنغاريا، ورومانيا، وهي بلد في طور الانضمام إلى الاتحاد الأوروبي وعضو في اللجنة)، أجري تصويت مسجل على مشروع المقرر، فاعتُمد بأغلبية 26 صوتاً مقابل 25 صوتاً وامتناع عضو واحد عن التصويت.

In a letter dated 28 July 2006, Mr. Yongxiang Shen, a national of China and member of the Committee (whose term of office was due to expire on 31 December 2008) notified the Secretary-General through the Chairperson of the Committee of his decision to resign from membership of the Committee with immediate effect.
6- وفي رسالة مؤرخة 28 تموز/يوليه 2006، أبلغ السيد يونغسيانغ شين، وهو مواطن صيني وعضو في اللجنة (كان من المقرر أن تنتهي مدة عضويته في 31 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2008) الأمين العام عن طريق رئيسة اللجنة بقراره الاستقالة من عضويته في اللجنة فوراً.

Similarly, in a letter dated 31 July 2006, Mr. Giorgio Malinverni, a national of Switzerland and member of the Committee (whose term of office was due to expire on 31 December 2008) notified the Secretary-General through the Chairperson of the Committee of his decision to resign from membership of the Committee as from 1 January 2007, due to his election as a judge to the European Court of Human Rights.
وبالمثل أبلغ السيد جيورجيو مالينفيرني، وهو مواطن سويسري وعضو في اللجنة (كان من المقرر أن تنتهي مدة عضويته في 31 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2008) الأمين العام عن طريق رئيسة اللجنة بقراره الاستقالة من عضويته في اللجنة اعتباراً من 1 كانون الثاني/يناير 2007، وذلك نظراً لانتخابه قاضياً في المحكمة الأوروبية لحقوق الإنسان.
