Seventy-four countries have provided national reports this year on their military expenditures and on the guidelines and recommendations for objective information on military matters.

" 4. Also requests the Secretary-General to report to the General Assembly, at its fifty-first session, on the implementation of paragraph 3 above and on guidelines which might be adopted on technical procedures to be used by the appropriate parts of the Secretariat:
" ٤ - تطلب أيضا الى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم الى الجمعية العامة، في دورتها الحادية والخمسين، تقريرا عن تنفيذ الفقرة ٣ أعلاه وعن المبادئ التوجيهية التي يمكن اعتمادها بشأن اﻹجراءات الفنية التي تستعين بها الجهات المختصة في اﻷمانة العامة من أجل القيام بما يلي:
