We urge the United Nations to promote respect for the recognition, observance and enforcement of treaties, agreements and other constructive arrangements concluded between indigenous peoples and States, or their successors, according to their original spirit and intent, and to have States honour and respect such treaties, agreements and other constructive arrangements.

2. The seminar on treaties, agreements and other constructive arrangements between States and indigenous peoples was held at the United Nations Office at Geneva, from 15 to 17 December 2003.
2- وعقدت الحلقة الدراسية المعنية بالمعاهدات والاتفاقات وغيرها من الترتيبات البناءة المبرمة بين الدول والشعوب الأصلية في مكتب الأمم المتحدة في جنيف، من 15 إلى 17 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2003.

6. In accordance with Economic and Social Council decision 2003/271 of 23 July 2003, seminar on treaties, agreements and other constructive arrangements between States and indigenous peoples was held in Geneva, from 15 to 17 December 2003.

1. The experts participating in the Seminar on Treaties, Agreements and other constructive arrangements between States and Indigenous Peoples, meeting in Geneva from 15 to 17 December 2003, agreed upon the following conclusions and recommendations:
1- إن الخبراء المشاركين في الحلقة الدراسية المعنية بالمعاهدات والاتفاقات وغيرها من الترتيبات البناءة المبرمة بين الدول والشعوب الأصلية، الذين اجتمعوا في جنيف من 15 إلى 17 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2003، قد اتفقوا على الاستنتاجات والتوصيات التالية:

115. The Forum recommends that the Special Rapporteur on the right to education pay special attention in her work to the right to education as contained in treaties, agreements, and other constructive arrangements between indigenous peoples, Nations and States.
115 - ويوصي المنتدى بأن يولي المقرر الخاص المعني بالحق في التعليم اهتماما خاصا في عمله للحق في التعليم على النحو الوارد في المعاهدات والاتفاقات وغيرها من الترتيبات البناءة المبرمة بين الشعوب الأصلية والأمم المتحدة والدول.

38. Reference was also made to the recent United Nations Seminar on Treaties, Agreements and other constructive arrangements between States and Indigenous Peoples, held in Geneva from 15 to 17 December 2003.

10. As in previous discussions relating to treaties, agreements and other constructive arrangements between States and indigenous peoples, indigenous participants underlined the important role played by treaties in determining their relationship with the States in which they lived.

19. The experts participating in the seminar on treaties, agreements and other constructive arrangements between States and indigenous peoples, meeting in Maskwacîs Territory of Treaty No. 6, from 14 to 17 November 2006, agreed upon the conclusions and recommendations set out below.
