66. China commended Finland's achievement in gender equality and the rights of persons with disabilities, and its policy regarding the rights of minorities, migrants and other vulnerable groups.

5. In accordance with the above, the Central and Eastern European regional seminar of experts, entitled " The protection of minorities and other vulnerable groups and strengthening human rights capacity at the national level " , was held from 5 to 7 July 2000 in Warsaw.

10. Recalling the minority protection system of the League of Nations and the jurisprudence of the World Court, the High Commissioner's message underlined that the protection of minorities and other vulnerable groups and the strengthening of national capacity for their protection had been on the agenda of the international community for nearly a century.

240. The Consensus called for the reinforcement of national efforts in capacity-building in such areas as institutional infrastructure, human resource development and public finance, particularly in small island developing States and other vulnerable groups.

22. In connection with the World Conference against Racism, to be held in Durban, South Africa from 31 August to 7 September 2001, OHCHR convened a seminar of experts on " Protection of minorities and other vulnerable groups and the strengthening of human rights capacity at the national level " for Central and Eastern European countries, from 5 to 7 July 2000 in Warsaw.
22- فيما يتعلق بالمؤتمر العالمي لمكافحة العنصرية، المقرر عقده في دوربان في جنوب أفريقيا في الفترة من 31 آب/أغسطس إلى 7 أيلول/سبتمبر 2001، نظمت المفوضية حلقة دراسية للخبراء بشأن " حماية الأقليات وغيرها من المجموعات الضعيفة وتدعيم قدرة حقوق الإنسان على المستوى الوطني " لبلدان وسط وشرقي أوروبا، في الفترة من 5 إلى 7 تموز/يوليه 2000 في وارسو.

The consensus also highlighted the importance of enhanced and predictable access to all markets for the exports of developing countries, including small island developing States, and the need for reinforced support for trade-related training, capacity and institution building and trade-supporting services, with special consideration given to small island developing States and other vulnerable groups.

Comply with the recommendations made by Treaty Bodies and Special Procedures and, in this connection, recommended to establish mechanism to monitor ethnic minorities and other vulnerable groups, including migrants and asylum seekers, and to allow these groups to access all rights enjoyed by the rest of the population (Mexico);
28- الامتثال لتوصيات الهيئات المنشأة بموجب معاهدات وتوصيات الإجراءات الخاصة والقيام، بهذا الخصوص، بإنشاء آلية لرصد الأقليات الإثنية وغيرها من المجموعات الضعيفة الأخرى، بما في ذلك المهاجرون وملتمسو اللجوء، وتمكين هذه المجموعات من التمتع بجميع الحقوق التي يتمتع بها باقي السكان (المكسيك)؛

15. The World Conference should urge all States parties to the Convention and others to conduct nationwide campaigns to raise awareness among State organs, such as the judiciary, law enforcement agencies, legislators, public officials as well as civil society organizations, including associations involved with migrants and other vulnerable groups, concerning the provisions of the Convention.
15- وينبغي للمؤتمر العالمي أن يحث كافة الدول الأعضاء في الاتفاقية وغيرها من الدول على تنظيم حملات وطنية لرفع مستوى الوعي بأحكام الاتفاقية لدى الأجهزة الحكومية مثل الجهات القضائية ووكالات إنفاذ القانون والجهات المسؤولة عن التشريع والموظفين الرسميين فضلاً عن منظمات المجتمع المدني بما في ذلك الجمعيات المعنية بالمهاجرين وغيرها من المجموعات الضعيفة.
