At the outset, my delegation wishes to express its full support for the agreements reached on disarmament issues by the Ministers for Foreign Affairs and heads of Delegation of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries at their meeting held on 25 September 1997.

1. The Ministers for Foreign Affairs and Heads of Delegation of the Non-Aligned Countries met in New York on 25 September 1996, within the framework of the fifty-first session of the General Assembly, for the purpose of coordinating their efforts and establishing guidelines to enable the members of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries to work as a group on matters of common interest and concern.

" It is an honour for me to speak on behalf of the delegations of the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.

That is why the delegations of the countries of the Arab Maghreb Union appeal for the active solidarity of the international community, which, with decisive resolve, should mobilize all the means available in order to ensure that the universal principles of law and equity prevail in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

13. His delegation wished to pay tribute to the delegations of the countries of Asia and the Pacific, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean for their efforts on behalf of a more impartial and more positive draft resolution.
13 - ووفد ميانمار يود، في النهاية، أن يتقدم بالتحية إلى وفود بلدان آسيا ومنطقة المحيط الهادئ وأفريقيا وأمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي، وذلك إزاء مساندتها للجهود التي بُذِلت من أجل وضع مشروع قرار يتسم بمزيد من الحيدة والإيجابية.

With the facilitation of the South Pacific Commission, a Tokelau delegation was able to join other South Pacific island country delegations at the Fourth World Conference on Women at Beijing in September 1995.
