Following a visit to UNOWA by the Executive Director of UNFPA, in June 2004, UNOWA has arranged to work with UNFPA and other relevant United Nations entities, civil society and international partners on a study containing practical recommendations on the linkages between rapid urbanization, population growth, pressure on natural resources, and conflict in West Africa.
