The Legal Subcommittee noted that, at its fortieth session, the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee had concluded a four-year work plan on the use of nuclear power sources in outer space.
98- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية القانونية أن اللجنة الفرعية العلمية والتقنية اختتمت، في دورتها الأربعين، خطة عمل مدتها أربع سنوات بشأن استخدام مصادر القدرة النووية في الفضاء الخارجي.

141. The Legal Subcommittee noted that the sponsors of the following proposals for new items to be included in the agenda for the Subcommittee intended to retain their proposals for possible discussion at subsequent sessions of the Subcommittee:
141- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية القانونية أن مقدمي الاقتراحات التالية بشأن بنود جديدة مطلوب إدراجها في جدول أعمال اللجنة الفرعية يعتزمون إبقاء اقتراحاتهم لاحتمال مناقشتها في دورات لاحقة للجنة الفرعية:

The Legal Subcommittee noted that some States had strengthened their national mechanisms governing space debris mitigation through the nomination of governmental supervisory authorities, the involvement of academia and industry and the development of new legislative norms, instructions, standards and frameworks.
138- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية القانونية أن بعض الدول عزّزت آلياتها الوطنية التي تنظم أنشطة تخفيف الحطام الفضائي وذلك بتعيين سلطات إشرافية حكومية وإشراك الدوائر الأكاديمية والصناعية ووضع قواعد وتعليمات ومعايير وأطر تشريعية جديدة في هذا الشأن.

The Legal Subcommittee noted with satisfaction that various international organizations had been invited by the Secretariat to report to the Subcommittee on their activities relating to space law.
56- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية القانونية بارتياح أنّ الأمانة دعت منظمات دولية مختلفة إلى تقديم تقارير إلى اللجنة الفرعية عن أنشطتها المتعلقة بقانون الفضاء.

The Legal Subcommittee noted that Argentina had submitted a working paper (A/AC.105/C.2/L.215) containing a work plan for the item that it had proposed (see para. 59 (a) above).

37. The Legal Subcommittee noted with satisfaction that various international organizations had been invited by the Secretariat to report to the Subcommittee on their activities relating to space law and agreed that a similar invitation should be extended by the Secretariat for the forty-second session of the Subcommittee, in 2003.
37- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية القانونية بارتياح، أن الأمانة دعت منظمات دولية مختلفة إلى تقديم تقارير إلى اللجنة الفرعية عن أنشطتها المتعلقة بقانون الفضاء. واتفقت اللجنة الفرعية على أن تقدم الأمانة دعوات مماثلة بشأن دورتها الثانية والأربعين التي ستعقد في عام 2003.

The Legal Subcommittee noted the progress in, and positive benefits of, the cooperation of the Joint Expert Group of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee and the International Atomic Energy Agency in the development of an international safety framework for the use of NPS in outer space.
86- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية القانونية ما أُحرز من تقدُّم في التعاون في إطار فريق الخبراء المشترك بين اللجنة الفرعية العلمية والتقنية والوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية وفوائد هذا التعاون الإيجابية، من أجل صوغ إطار أمان دولي بشأن استخدام مصادر القدرة النووية في الفضاء الخارجي.

The Legal Subcommittee noted with satisfaction the progress made by the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee at its forty-fourth session in developing the objectives, scope and attributes of an international, technically based framework of goals and recommendations for the safety of nuclear power source applications in outer space.
92- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية القانونية بارتياح التقدّم الذي أحرزته اللجنة الفرعية العلمية والتقنية في دورتها الرابعة والأربعين، في تحديد أهداف ونطاق وسمات إطار تقني دولي للأهداف والتوصيات المتعلقة بأمان تطبيقات مصادر القدرة النووية في الفضاء الخارجي.

The Legal Subcommittee noted with satisfaction the extension of the multi-year workplan of the Working Group on the Use of Nuclear Power Sources in Outer Space to 2017 (A/AC.105/1065, annex II, para. 9).
124- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية القانونية بارتياح تمديد خطة العمل المتعدِّدة السنوات للفريق العامل المعني باستخدام مصادر القدرة النووية في الفضاء الخارجي حتى عام 2017 (A/AC.105/1065، المرفق الثاني، الفقرة 9).

The Legal Subcommittee noted that the subject of the geostationary orbit had been considered by the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee at its thirty-fifth session, in 1998, as reflected in the report of that Subcommittee (A/AC.105/697 and Corr.1, paras. 113-122).
٩٢ - ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية القانونية أن موضوع المدار الثابت بالنسبة لﻷرض كانت قد نظرت فيه اللجنة الفرعية العلمية والتقنية أثناء دورتها الخامسة والثلاثين ، عام ٨٩٩١ ، حسبما ورد في تقرير تلك اللجنة الفرعية A/AC.105/697) و Corr.1 ، الفقرات ٣١١ - ٢٢١( .

The Legal Subcommittee noted that, pursuant to a recommendation made during the fortieth session of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space,Ibid., para. 132. a working group would be established to consider agenda item 5 during the thirty-eighth session of the Subcommittee, in 1999.
١٦ - ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية القانونية أنه عملا بتوصية صادرة عن لجنة استخدام الفضاء الخارجي في اﻷغراض السلمية في دورتها اﻷربعين)٨( ، سيجري انشاء فريق عامل يتولى النظر في البند ٥ من جدول اﻷعمال أثناء الدورة الثامنة والثلاثين للجنة الفرعية في عام ٩٩٩١ .

The Legal Subcommittee noted that Germany had submitted, on behalf of Austria, Canada, France, Greece, India, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United States, a working paper entitled “Revision of the agenda of the Legal Subcommittee” (A/AC.105/C.2/L.217 and Corr.1).
٣٧ - ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية القانونية أن ألمانيا قدمت ، نيابة عن السويد وفرنسا وكندا والنمسا والهند وهولندا والولايات المتحدة اﻷمريكية واليونان ، ورقة عمل عنوانها " تنقيح جدول أعمال اللجنة الفرعية القانونية " A/AC.105/C.2/L.217) و Corr.1( .

The Legal Subcommittee noted with satisfaction that the Working Group on the Use of Nuclear Power Sources in Outer Space had prepared a summary of information from the workshops it organized during the forty-eighth and forty-ninth sessions of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee, in 2011 and 2012 (A/AC.105/1038, annex II, appendix).
97- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية القانونية بارتياح أنَّ الفريق العامل المعني باستخدام مصادر القدرة النووية في الفضاء الخارجي أَعدَّ ملخَّصاً للمعلومات المستقاة من حلقتي العمل اللتين نظَّمهما أثناء دورتي اللجنة الفرعية العلمية والتقنية الثامنة والأربعين والتاسعة والأربعين، المعقودتين في عامي 2011 و2012 (A/AC.105/1038، المرفق الثاني، التذييل).

The Legal Subcommittee noted that the sponsor of the proposal to include an item entitled " Analysis of current remote sensing practices within the framework of the Principles Relating to Remote Sensing of the Earth from Outer Space " had withdrawn its proposal in view of the fact that the Subcommittee would not be in a position to reach consensus on the inclusion of that item on its agenda.
143- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية القانونية أن مقدم الاقتراح الداعي إلى إدراج بند عنوانه " تحليل الممارسات الراهنة في مجال الاستشعار عن بعد في إطار المبادئ المتعلقة باستشعار الأرض عن بعد من الفضاء الخارجي " قد سحب اقتراحه نظرا إلى أن اللجنة الفرعية لن تكون في وضع يمكنها من الوصول إلى توافق في الآراء بشأن إدراج ذلك البند في جدول أعمالها.

The Legal Subcommittee noted with satisfaction the progress made by the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space at its forty-fifth session in considering the use of nuclear power sources (NPS) in outer space and working to achieve consensus on an international, technically based framework of goals and recommendations for the safety of NPS applications in outer space.
85- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية القانونية بارتياح التقدّم الذي أحرزته اللجنة الفرعية العلمية والتقنية في دورتها الخامسة والأربعين، في النظر في استخدام مصادر القدرة النووية في الفضاء الخارجي والعمل على تحقيق توافق في الآراء بشأن إطار تقني دولي للأهداف والتوصيات المتعلقة بأمان تطبيقات مصادر القدرة النووية في الفضاء الخارجي.

The Legal Subcommittee noted with satisfaction the workshop organized by the Working Group on the Use of Nuclear Power Sources in Outer Space during the forty-eighth session of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee, in accordance with the multi-year workplan and objectives adopted by the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee at its forty-seventh session (A/AC.105/958, annex II, paras. 7 and 8).
77- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية القانونية بارتياح أنَّ الفريق العامل المعني باستخدام مصادر القدرة النووية في الفضاء الخارجي قد نظّم حلقة عمل أثناء الدورة الثامنة والأربعين للجنة الفرعية العلمية والتقنية، وفقاً لخطة العمل المتعددة السنوات والأهداف التي اعتمدتها اللجنة الفرعية العلمية والتقنية في دورتها السابعة والأربعين (A/AC.105/958، المرفق الثاني، الفقرتان 7 و8).

The Legal Subcommittee noted that the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee at its thirty-fifth session, in 1998, had recommended suspending consideration of the item on the use of nuclear power sources in outer space for one year (A/AC.105/697 and Corr.1, paras. 81 and 153), in view of the preparations for UNISPACE III.
٥٢ - ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية القانونية أن اللجنة الفرعية العلمية والتقنية أوصت في دورتها الخامسة والثلاثين المعقودة عام ٨٩٩١ بتأجيل النظر في بند جدول اﻷعمال المعنون " استخدام مصادر القدرة النووية في الفضاء الخارجي " لمدة عام )A/AC.105/697 و Corr.1 ، الفقرتان ١٨ و ٣٥١( نظرا لﻷعمال التحضيرية لليونيسبيس الثالث .
