2. States are invited to consider, if they have not yet done so, becoming parties to existing multilateral treaties, in particular those relevant to the progressive development of international law and its codification.
٢ - تُدعى الدول إلى النظر، إذا لم تكن قد فعلت ذلك بعد، في أن تصبح أطرافا في المعاهدات المتعددة اﻷطراف القائمة، ولا سيما المعاهدات المتصلة بالتطوير التدريجي للقانون الدولي وتدوينه.

The great impetus given to the disarmament process by the conclusion of a series of treaties, both multilateral and bilateral, in particular those relating to the banning of biological and chemical weapons and the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty, has considerably slackened.
ولقد تباطأ بدرجة كبيرة الزخم الكبير الذي دفع عملية نزع السلاح والذي يعزى إلى إبرام مجموعة من المعاهدات، المتعددة الأطراف والثنائية، على حد سواء، ولا سيما المعاهدات ذات الصلة بحظر الأسلحة البيولوجية والكيميائية ومعاهدة الحظر الشامل للتجارب النووية.
