In my address today, I shall touch upon three international issues: Myanmar, the United States embargo against Cuba and the question of Western Sahara.

6. During its 2004 session, the Special Committee, besides considering all items on its agenda, had taken up the questions dealt with in the draft resolutions set out in chapter XII of its report, the question of the Falkland Islands (Malvinas), the question of Gibraltar and the question of Western Sahara.
