Accordingly, at its fifty-fourth session, the Commission will review the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcome of the twenty-third special session of the General Assembly and its contribution to shaping a gender perspective in the realization of the Millennium Development Goals.
وعليه، ستستعرض اللجنة في دورتها الرابعة والخمسين تنفيذ إعلان ومنهاج عمل بيجين ونتائج أعمال الدورة الاستثنائية الثالثة والعشرين للجمعية العامة ومدى إسهامها في تشكيل منظور جنساني يكفل إنجاز الأهداف الإنمائية للألفية.

In view of the Commission's review of the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcome of the twenty-third special session of the General Assembly and its contribution to shaping a gender perspective in the realization of the Millennium Development Goals, no emerging issue was selected for consideration.
وفي ضوء استعراض اللجنة لتنفيذ إعلان ومنهاج عمل بيجين ونتائج أعمال الدورة الاستثنائية الثالثة والعشرين للجمعية العامة ومساهمتها في تشكيل المنظور الجنساني من أجل التنفيذ الكامل للأهداف الإنمائية للألفية، لم يقع الاختيار على أية قضية ناشئة للنظر فيها.

1. We, international non-governmental organizations committed, through direct service and advocacy, to the human rights and empowerment of girls and women, welcome this opportunity to review the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcomes of the twenty-third special session of the General Assembly during the upcoming fifty-fourth session of the Commission on the Status of Women.
1 - نحن المنظمات غير الحكومية الدولية الملتزمة بحقوق الإنسان للفتيات والنساء وبتمكينهن من خلال الخدمة المباشرة والدعوة، نرحب بهذه الفرصة لاستعراض تنفيذ منهاج عمل بيجين ونتائج أعمال الدورة الاستثنائية الثالثة والعشرين للجمعية العامة وذلك أثناء الدورة الرابعة والخمسين المقبلة للجنة وضع المرأة.

Noting that the Commission on the Status of Women will undertake, at its fiftyfourth session, a review of the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcome of the twentythird special session, emphasizing the sharing of experiences and good practices, with a view to overcoming remaining obstacles and new challenges, including those related to the Millennium Development Goals,
وإذ تلاحظ أن لجنة وضع المرأة سوف تستعرض في دورتها الرابعة والخمسين تنفيذ إعلان ومنهاج عمل بيجين ونتائج أعمال الدورة الاستثنائية الثالثة والعشرين، مشددة على تبادل الخبرات والممارسات الجيدة، بهدف تجاوز ما تبقى من عقبات ومواجهة التحديات الجديدة، بما فيها العقبات والتحديات المتعلقة بالأهداف الإنمائية للألفية،

45. Ms. Rasheed (Observer for Palestine) asked why the situation of Palestinian women living under Israeli occupation was not reflected in the report on the follow-up to and progress in the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcome of the twenty-third special session (A/58/166).
45 - السيدة رشيد (المراقبة عن فلسطين): سألت عن السبب في عدم ظهور حالة النساء الفلسطينيات اللواتي يعشن تحت الاحتلال الإسرائيلي في التقرير عن متابعة تنفيذ إعلان بيجين ومنهاج العمل ونتائج أعمال الدورة الاستثنائية الثالثة والعشرين (A/58/166).

67. Mr. Duque Estrada Meyer (Brazil), said that Brazil remained fully committed to the implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action and the outcome of the twenty-third special session, bestowing, as they did, legitimacy on the objectives of gender equality and the empowerment of women and providing motivation for ensuring a better, more equal future for women and girls.

The Syrian Arab Republic was satisfied with the way the Secretary General's report on the follow-up and progress in the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcome of the twenty-third special session (A/58/166) reflected the measures taken by the General Assembly and other United Nations bodies.
30 - أعربت عن رضاء الجمهورية العربية السورية عن الطريقة التي كتب بها الأمين العام تقريره عن متابعة تنفيذ إعلان بيجين ومنهاج العمل ونتائج أعمال الدورة الاستثنائية الثالثة والعشرين (A/58/166) ومدى التقدّم في هذا التنفيذ، لأن التقرير عكس الإجراءات التي اتخذتها الجمعية العامة وغيرها من أجهزة الأمم المتحدة.

The Committee requests the State party to continue to disseminate widely, in particular to women's and human rights organizations, the Convention, its Optional Protocol, the Committee's general recommendations, the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcome of the twenty-third special session of the General Assembly, entitled " Women 2000: gender equality, development and peace for the twenty-first century " .
وتطلب اللجنة إلى الدولة الطرف أن تواصل النشر على نطاق واسع، ولا سيما لدى المنظمات النسائية ومنظمات حقوق الإنسان، للاتفاقية وبروتوكولها الاختياري، والتوصيات العامة للجنة، وإعلان ومنهاج عمل بيجين ونتائج أعمال الدورة الاستثنائية الثالثة والعشرين للجمعية العامة، المعنونة " المرأة عام 2000: المساواة بين الجنسين والتنمية والسلام في القرن الحادي والعشرين " .
