Welcomes the recent positive developments in the peace process, including the interim agreement concluded between the Palestinians and the Israelis, notes the activities which the United Nations Environment Programme has undertaken within the framework of the Middle East peace process, and requests the Executive Director to intensify such support;

1. Welcomes the activities that the United Nations Environment Programme is undertaking within the framework of the search for a just and durable peace in the Middle East, and requests the Executive Director to continue to intensify such support;
١ - يرحب بأنشطة برنامج اﻷمـم المتحـدة للبيئـة التي يضطلـع بها في إطار البحث عن سلام عادل ودائم في الشرق اﻷوسط ويطلب إلى المديرة التنفيذية أن تواصل تكثيف هذا الدعم؛

2. Also takes note of the efforts undertaken by the United Nations Population Fund to make most of its publications available in different languages and requests the Executive Director also to take into consideration the linguistic balances in developing the electronic dissemination of information;
٢ - يحيط علما أيضا بالجهود التي يبذلها صندوق اﻷمم المتحدة للسكان من أجل جعل معظم منشوراته متوفرة بمختلف اللغات ويطلب إلى المديرة التنفيذية أيضا أن تضع التوازن فيما بين اللغات في اعتبارها لدى تطوير وسائل النشر الالكتروني للمعلومات؛

2. Also takes note of the efforts undertaken by the United Nations Population Fund to make most of its publications available in different languages and requests the Executive Director also to take into consideration the linguistic balances in developing the electronic dissemination of information;

2. Decides to delegate authority to increase other resources ceilings for approved country programmes in the future to the Executive Director and requests the Executive Director to inform the Executive Board on an annual basis.
2 - يقرر تفويض المديرة التنفيذية سلطة زيادة الحدود القصوى للموارد الأخرى الخاصة بالبرامج القطرية المعتمدة في المستقبل ويطلب إلى المديرة التنفيذية إحاطة المجلس التنفيذي علما بذلك سنويا.

8. Reaffirms decision 2006/7 on UNICEF Cost Recovery and requests the Executive Director to take all necessary measures to ensure that regular resources do not subsidize projects funded by other resources;
8 - يعيد تأكيد مقرره 2006/7 بشأن استعادة اليونيسيف للتكاليف ويطلب إلى المديرة التنفيذية أن تتخذ جميع التدابير اللازمة لضمان ألا تدعم المشاريع الممولة بموارد أخرى عن طريق الموارد العادية؛

Approves the request for 1999 programme expenditure authority at a level equal to expected new programmable resources for 1999, currently estimated at $263 million, and requests the Executive Director to report to the Executive Board on any significant increases or shortfalls in estimated income for the year 1999;
٢ - يوافق على طلب سلطة اﻹنفاق البرنامجي لعام ١٩٩٩ بمستوى معادل للموارد الجديدة المتوقعة القابلة للبرمجة لعام ١٩٩٩، والمقدرة حاليا بمبلغ ٢٦٣ مليون دولار، ويطلب إلى المديرة التنفيذية أن تقدم تقريرا إلى المجلس التنفيذي عن أي زيادات أو انخفاضات ملموسة في اﻹيرادات المقدرة لعام ١٩٩٩؛

Welcomes the steps which the United Nations Population Fund has taken to implement decision 98/24 and requests the Executive Director to continue to develop the multi-year planning, management and funding framework, taking into account the views of the Executive Board in this regard and fully respecting the principles contained in decision 98/24;
٢ - يرحب بالخطوات التي اتخذها صندوق اﻷمم المتحدة للسكان لتنفيذ المقرر ٨٩/٤٢ ويطلب إلى المديرة التنفيذية مواصلة وضع إطار تخطيطي وإداري وتمويلي متعدد السنوات، على أن تضع في الاعتبار آراء المجلس التنفيذي بهذا الشأن وأن تحترم بالكامل المبادئ الواردة في المقرر ٨٩/٤٢؛

Approves the request for 2000 programme expenditure authority at a level equal to expected new programmable resources for 2000, currently estimated at $224 million, and requests the Executive Director to report to the Executive Board whenever there are any significant increases or shortfalls in estimated income for the year 2000;
٢ - يوافق على طلب سلطة اﻹنفاق البرنامجي لسنة ٢٠٠٠ بمستوى معادل للموارد الجديدة المتوقعة القابلة للبرمجة لسنة ٢٠٠٠، المقدرة حاليا بمبلغ ٢٢٤ مليون دولار، ويطلب إلى المديرة التنفيذية أن تقدم إلى المجلس التنفيذي تقريرا كلما حدثت أي زيادات أو انخفاضات ذات شأن في اﻹيرادات المقدرة لسنة ٢٠٠٠؛

2 - يؤكد أهمية مشاركة اليونيسيف مشاركة كاملة في جهود الأمم المتحدة في مجال المواءمة والتبسيط بغية تحقيق الكفاءة في تنفيذ البرامج، ويطلب إلى المديرة التنفيذية أن تقدم تقريرا مستقلا عما قد يترتب عليها من نتائج بالنسبة لكفاءة التكاليف بحلول الدورة العادية الثانية في عام 2004؛

7. Welcomes the continued improvement in results-based management which makes it clear to what extent key results achieved contribute to the attainment of UNICEF objectives, and requests the Executive Director to continue to develop results-based budgeting for the biennium 2006-2007 in close collaboration with other funds and programmes;
7 - يرحب بالتحسن المستمر في الإدارة القائمة على النتائج التي توضح مدى ما تسهم به النتائج الرئيسية المتحققة في بلوغ أهداف اليونيسيف، ويطلب إلى المديرة التنفيذية مواصلة وضع الميزانية على أساس النتائج لفترة السنتين 2006-2007 بالتعاون الوثيق مع الصناديق والبرامج الأخرى؛

6. Takes note of the indicators established in the UNICEF education strategy, and requests the Executive Director to ensure consistency and clear links between these indicators and those approved in the MTSP for the education focus area, and that future reports fully track all indicators, where possible. 2007/9.
6 - يحيط علما بالمؤشرات المحددة في استراتيجية اليونيسيف التعليمية ويطلب إلى المديرة التنفيذية أن تضمن الاتساق وقيام صلات واضحة بين هذه المؤشرات وتلك الموافق عليها في الخطة الاستراتيجية المتوسطة الأجل لمجال التركيز على التعليم، وأن تتبع التقارير في المستقبل جميع المؤشرات بالكامل، حيثما أمكن ذلك.
