2. I am pleased to report that the agreement of 10 April 2005 between the Government of Nepal and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) was renewed for two years until June 2007, maintaining the comprehensiveness of its mandate.

In this regard, I am pleased to report that the Government of Liberia has criminalized the financing of any activities involving radioactive, chemical or biological agents in the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Act recently passed by the National Legislature, pursuant to resolution 1540 (2004).

27. With respect to the situation of Palestinians in Lebanon, I am pleased to report that the leadership of the Palestine Liberation Organization has reiterated, both to me and publicly, its appeal to the Palestinians in Lebanon to respect the sovereignty and political independence of Lebanon, as well as Lebanese law and security requirements.

3. In spite of these serious incidents, I am pleased to report that all parties continue to express their support for and commitment to the implementation of resolution 1701 (2006).

13. Further to the Security Council's request in resolution 2028 (2011) that steps be taken immediately to implement the recommendations arising from the assessment of the operational capacity of UNDOF, I am pleased to report that there has been substantial progress in this regard.

In this context, I am pleased to report that, on 12 April, the President met with the Prime Minister and Brigadier-General Ruak and that they agreed to take steps in order to end the impasse regarding the dismissed F-FDTL soldiers, including the carrying out of a formal legal process to examine the contracts of those soldiers and the continuation of payment of their salaries until that process has been completed.

33. With respect to the situation of Palestinians in Lebanon, I am glad to report that the leadership of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) has reiterated its call upon all Palestinians in Lebanon to respect the sovereignty and political independence of Lebanon and to adhere to Lebanese law and security requirements.
