The Committee on Conferences had not agreed on a proposal by one delegation that the Secretary-General should report to the General Assembly on the criteria used to determine which documents would be translated by staff members and which by external contractors, and had decided to refer the issue to the Fifth Committee for its consideration.
8 - وأردفت قائلة إن لجنة المؤتمرات لم توافق على اقتراح قدمه أحد الوفود بأن يقدم الأمين العام تقريرا إلى الجمعية العامة عن المعايير المستخدمة لتحديد الوثائق التي يترجمها الموظفون العاملون والوثائق التي يترجمها المتعاقدون الخارجيون، وقررت إحالة هذه المسألة إلى اللجنة الخامسة كي تنظر فيها.

At the same session, the General Assembly resolved that the Secretary-General should report to the Advisory Committee and to the General Assembly at its sixty-first and sixty-second sessions all commitments made under the provisions of the resolution, together with the circumstances relating thereto, and should submit supplementary estimates to the Assembly in respect of such commitments (resolution 60/249).

Notably, the Committee membership welcomed positive developments in the utilization of the United Nations Logistics Base at Brindisi and asked that the Secretary-General report to the General Assembly on the review of the concept of the operation of the Base as soon as possible.
