1. The Prosecutor shall:

(b) [To establish the truth the Prosecutor shall [ex officio] extend the investigation to cover all facts and evidence that are relevant to an assessment of the charge and to the legal consequences that may follow.

٥ - نوصي بأن يقوم المدعي العام للمحكمة الدولية ليوغوسلافيا السابقة وللمحكمة الجنائية الدولية لرواندا بدور المدعي العام للمحكمة الجديدة، على أن يتولى المسؤولية عن هذه المحكمة تحديدا نائب للمدعي العام.

The report submitted by the President of the International Criminal Court refers to the situations that are currently being investigated by the Prosecutor.
ويشير التقرير الذي قدمه رئيس المحكمة الجنائية الدولية إلى الحالات التي يقوم المدعي العام حاليا بالتحقيق فيها.

The Ombudsman was also competent to request investigations in such cases and worked with civil society on such matters, as did the public prosecutor.
