The Committee Expresses concern at its understanding that, after due notice, a person charged before the Finnish courts with certain offences may be tried in absentia, if his or her presence was not necessary, and sentenced to a fine or up to three months imprisonment with no possibility for retrial after 30 days.
٥٦٢ - وتعرب اللجنة عن قلقها إذ علمت أنه بعد إصدار اﻹشعار اللازم يمكن محاكمة الشخص المتهم أمام المحاكم الفنلندية بجرائم معينة محاكمة غيابية إذا لم يكن حضوره ضروريا، ويمكن أن يحكم عليه بغرامة أو بالسﱠجن لمدة تصل إلى ثلاثة أشهر، ولا توجد إمكانية ﻹعادة المحاكمة بعد ثلاثين يوما.

In view of the absence of a full-time nurse or other medical personnel in the prison, the Committee furthermore Expresses appreciation that the State party has initiated a process of assessing and evaluating the possibility of ensuring that medicaments are provided solely by medical personnel and not by corrections officers (arts. 11 and 16).
