Page The PLO recalls paragraph 3 of the said resolution, in which the Security Council " calls for measures to be taken to guarantee the safety and protection of the Palestinian civilians throughout the occupied territory, including, inter alia, a temporary international or foreign presence " .
وتشير منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية إلى الفقرة ٣ من القرار المذكور التي يدعو مجلس اﻷمن فيها إلى " اتخاذ تدابير لضمان سلامة وحماية المدنيين الفلسطينيين في جميع أنحاء اﻷرض المحتلة تشمل، في جملة أمور، توفير وجود دولي أو أجنبي مؤقت " .

I condemned this act of violence in the strongest terms. The Security Council considered the situation, and with its adoption of resolution 904 (1994), called for the implementation of measures to guarantee the safety and protection of the Palestinian civilians throughout the occupied territory, including the establishment of a temporary international or foreign presence.
وقد أدنت عمل العنف هذا بأقوى العبارات، ونظر مجلس اﻷمن في الحالة، ودعا، باتخاذه القرار ٩٠٤ )١٩٩٤( إلى تنفيذ التدابير اللازمة لضمان سلامة المدنيين الفلسطينيين وحمايتهم، في جميع أنحاء اﻷرض المحتلة، بما في ذلك إقامة وجود دولي أو أجنبي مؤقت.

In resolution 904 (1994) of 18 March 1994, the Security Council had condemned the massacre in Hebron and called upon Israel to take measures with the aim of preventing illegal acts of violence by settlers and had also called for measures to guarantee the safety and protection of the Palestinian civilians, including a temporary international or foreign presence.
وقـد أدان مجلــس اﻷمن في قراره ٩٠٤ )١٩٩٤( المؤرخ ١٨ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٤، مذبحة الخليل وطالب اسرائيل باتخاذ ما يلزم بهدف منع أعمال العنف غير المشروعة من جانب المستوطنين وباتخاذ تدابير لضمان أمـن وحمايــة المدنيين الفلسطينيين، بما في ذلك إقامة وجود دولي أو أجنبي مؤقت.

He recalled the massacre of Palestinians in the Hebron mosque and emphasized the importance of Security Council resolution 904 (1994), which called " upon Israel ... to take and implement measures, including ... confiscation of arms, with the aim of preventing illegal acts of violence by Israeli settlers " and which also called for a temporary international or foreign presence throughout the occupied territory.
وأشار المراقب الى المذبحة التي ارتكبت ضد الفلسطينيين في الحرم الابراهيمي، مؤكدا اﻷهمية التي ينطوي عليها قرار مجلس اﻷمن ٩٠٤ )١٩٩٤( الذي يطالب اسرائيل باتخاذ تدابير، من جملتها مصادرة اﻷسلحة، بغية منع أعمال العنف غير المشروعة التي يقوم بها المستوطنون الاسرائيليون، وكذلك بوجود دولي أو أجنبي مؤقت )السيد شريم، المراقب عن فلسطين(
