In the meantime, solutions must be found for the civilian population to see their human rights, in particular their right to adequate housing and to the highest attainable standard of health, respected.

26. At its 1997 session, the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities on 29 August adopted resolution 1997/19, entitled " Women and the right to adequate housing and to land and property " .

6. Encourages the High Commissioner/Centre for Human Rights to include fully in all the projects undertaken by the technical cooperation and advisory services programme specific activities related to the promotion and protection of women's right to adequate housing and to land and property;

13. Strongly suggests that the joint programme of the Centre for Human Rights and the United Nations Centre for Human Settlements (Habitat) focus directly on women and the right to adequate housing and to land and property;

When looking at what works best for women, researchers have found that a full or modified community of property regimes which recognize joint rights with equal powers between spouses best protects women's right to adequate housing and to equality.
وقد خلص الباحثون، لدى النظر في أفضل الحلول للمرأة، أن أفضل أشكال الحماية لحق المرأة في السكن اللائق وفي المساواة() تكمن في النظم الكاملة أو المعدلة للملكية الزوجية المشتركة التي تعترف بالحقوق المشتركة والصلاحيات المتساوية بين الزوجين.

Mindful that the Habitat Agenda (A/CONF.165/14), adopted by the United Nations Conference on Human Settlements (Habitat II), recognizes women's right to adequate housing and to land and property and the importance of all actors adopting and implementing policies, laws and programmes aimed at the realization of these rights,
وإذ تضع في اعتبارها أن جدول أعمال الموئل )A/CONF.165/14( الذي اعتمده مؤتمر اﻷمم المتحدة للمستوطنات البشرية )الموئل الثاني( يقرﱡ بحق المرأة في السكن اللائق وفي اﻷرض والملكية وبأهمية اتباع جميع الفعاليات وتنفيذها لسياسات وقوانين وبرامج ترمي إلى إعمال هذه الحقوق،

(b) Review its housing policy and issuance of construction permits to Palestinians to ensure that Palestinian and Israeli Arab women can enjoy all their fundamental rights and freedoms, particularly their right to adequate housing and to family and private life.
(ب) مراجعة سياساتها في مجال الإسكان وإصدار تصاريح البناء للفلسطينيين لضمان تمتع النساء الفلسطينيات والنساء من عرب إسرائيل بجميع حقوقهن وحرياتهن الأساسية، وبخاصة حقهن في السكن اللائق وفي الحياة الأسرية والخاصة.
