Contributions to the General administrative fund

(a) The apportionment of a certain sum of money from the interest accrued in the general administrative fund of the Authority;

It also noted that the current level of fees for polymetallic nodules does not cover the actual cost incurred in processing such applications. Furthermore, the Committee recalled that at the present time, the costs of the administration and supervision of contracts between the Authority and the contractor are borne entirely by the general administrative fund.

8. Under financial regulation 7.1, all income other than that specified in financial regulation 7.1 (a) through (i) shall be classed as miscellaneous income, for credit to the general administrative fund.

(a) That, in accordance with financial regulation 7.1, the balance of the fees paid by applicants for approval of plans of work in 2011, together with accrued interest thereon, shall be classed as miscellaneous income for the credit of the general administrative fund;

(c) That, in respect of Albania, Armenia, Kiribati, Qatar and Tuvalu, which became members of the Authority in 2003, the rate of assessment and the amounts of contributions to the general administrative fund and the Working Capital Fund shall be as recommended in paragraph 11 of the report of the Finance Committee (ISBA/9/A/5-ISBA/9/C/5).
(ج) أن يحدد مستوى الأنصبة المقررة ومبالغ الاشتراكات في الصندوق الإداري العام وصندوق رأس المال المتداول بالنسبة إلى أرمينيا وألبانيا وتوفالو وقطر وكيريباس، التي أصبحت أعضاء في السلطة عام 2003، وفقا للتوصية الواردة في الفقرة 11 من تقرير لجنة المالية.

(c) That, in respect of Canada and Lithuania, which became members of the Authority in 2003, the rate of assessment and the amounts of contributions to the general administrative fund and the Working Capital Fund shall be as recommended in paragraph 18 of the report of the Finance Committee (ISBA/10/A/6-ISBA/10/C/7).

The Committee noted that, in accordance with the Authority's Financial Regulations, the final assessed amount would be reduced by the application of the remaining accumulated balance of the General administrative fund at the end of the previous financial period (2005-2006).
