At that meeting the Executive Director commended Advisory Committee members on their contribution to the implementation of relevant resolutions of the Governing Council and encouraged them to intensify efforts to continue assisting UN-Habitat in its advocacy work towards strengthening of local authorities at all levels, particularly in line with resolution 20/18.
