This report is submitted pursuant to the requirement set out in paragraph 11 of Security Council resolution 1080 (1996), in which the Council " requests the Member States participating in the multinational force to provide periodic reports at least twice monthly, through the Secretary-General, to the Council, the first such report to be made no later than 21 days after the adoption of this resolution " .
ويقــدم هذا التقرير عملا بما تنص عليه الفقرة ١١ من قرار مجلس اﻷمن ١٠٨٠ )١٩٩٦( التي يطلب فيها المجلس " من الدول اﻷعضاء المشاركة في القوة المتعددة الجنسيات تقديم تقارير دورية مرتين شهريا على اﻷقل الى المجلس، عن طريق اﻷمين العام، بحيث لا يتجاوز موعد تقديم أول هذه التقارير فترة ٢١ يوما بعد اتخاذ هذا القرار " .

Mr. Mubarak (Libyan Arab Jamahiriya) (interpretation from Arabic): I take the floor after the adoption of this resolution to explain my country's position with regard to some of its paragraphs.
السيد مبارك )الجماهيرية العربية الليبية(: لقد طلب وفد بلدي الكلمة بعد اعتماد هذا القرار ﻷوضح موقف بلدي من بعض الفقرات الواردة فيه.

11. Requests the Secretary-General to keep the Council regularly informed of the progress in implementing the Agreement and to report to the Council no later than thirty days after the adoption of this resolution and every 60 days thereafter;
11 - يطلب إلى الأمين العام أن يُطلِع المجلس بانتظام على التقدّم المحرز في تنفيذ الاتفاق وأن يقدّم تقريرا إلى المجلس في موعد لا يتجاوز ثلاثين يوما عقب اتخاذ هذا القرار وكل 60 يوما بعد ذلك؛

17. Requests that the Secretary-General report to the Council within 30 days after the adoption of this resolution, and then again within a further 30 days, on the status of the further development of the plans outlined in paragraph 16 above, as well as the political aspects in paragraphs 6 and 7 above;
17 - يطلب إلى الأمين العام أن يقدم تقريرا إلى المجلس في غضون 30 يوما من اتخاذ هذا القرار ثم مرة أخرى خلال 30 يوما عن حالة التطورات التي تستجد بشأن الخطط المبينة في الفقرة 16 أعلاه، بالإضافة إلى الجوانب السياسية المبينة في الفقرتين 6 و 7 أعلاه؛

(d) To establish no later than one month after the adoption of this resolution and maintain an updated list of approved organizations and governmental relief agencies which are providing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan, in accordance with paragraph 12 above;
(د) القيام في موعد لا يتجاوز شهرا من اعتماد هذا القرار بوضع قائمة مستكملة، والاحتفاظ بها، بالمنظمات ووكالات الإغاثة الحكومية الموافق عليها التي تقدم مساعدات إنسانية إلى أفغانستان وفقا للفقرة 12 أعلاه؛
