Today, Egypt notes that while all States of the Middle East have become parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, Israel regrettably persists in ignoring repeated calls for its adherence to the Treaty and the placement of all its nuclear facilities under full-scope International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) safeguards, thereby perpetuating a dangerous imbalance in the region.
واليوم، تلاحظ مصر أنه بينما أصبحت جميع دول الشرق الأوسط أطرافا في معاهدة عدم الانتشار النووي، فمما يؤسف له أن إسرائيل لا تــزال متمادية في تجاهلها النداءات المتكررة لانضمامها إلى المعاهدة وإخضاع جميع مرافقـها النووية للضمانات الشاملة للوكالة الدولة للطاقة الذرية، مما يؤدي إلى استمرار اختلال خطير في التوازن في المنطقة.

The facilitator has encouraged all States of the Middle East to adopt an open and forward-looking approach and to engage with each other in constructive dialogue and cooperation.
ويشجع الميسر جميع دول منطقة الشرق الأوسط على اتباع نهج منفتح يستشرف المستقبل وعلى الاشتراك مع بعضها بعضاً في حوار وتعاون بنّاءين.
