11. Mr. Almansoor (Bahrain) said that his delegation associated itself with the statements made by the representative of Morocco on behalf of the Group of 77 and China and by the representative of the Syrian Arab Republic on behalf of the Group of Arab States.
11 - السيد المنصور (البحرين): قال إن وفده ينضم إلى البيان الذي قدمته ممثلة المغرب نيابة عن مجموعة الـ 77 والصين والبيان الذي قدمه ممثل الجمهورية العربية السورية نيابة عن الدول العربية.

1. Mr. Almansoor (Bahrain) said that international and regional awareness-raising efforts had raised the hope that the world could rid itself of weapons, especially nuclear weapons.
1 - السيد المنصور (البحرين): قال إن الجهود الدولية والإقليمية المبذولة قد بعثت الأمل في أنه سيكون بمقدور العالم أن يتخلص من الأسلحة، ولا سيما الأسلحة النووية.

Mr. Almansoor (Bahrain) (spoke in Arabic): AIDS is a scourge and a peril facing the international community. It disrupts the social and human fabric of many countries and many societies. Because of its impact, which goes beyond the individual to affect entire societies, it is among the gravest challenges facing the international community.
السيد المنصور (البحرين): يعتبر مرض نقص المناعة المكتسب (الإيدز) خطرا وآفة يواجهان المجتمع الدولي، حيث يعمل المرض على إتلاف النسيج الاجتماعي والإنساني في كثير من المجتمعات والبلدان، كما يعتبر من أكبر التحديات التي تواجه المجتمع الدولي بسبب ما ينتج عنه من آثار تتجاوز الفرد لتصيب المجتمع برمته.
