The need for cooperation in that field was implicitly recognized in article 6, paragraph 3, of the Convention which provided that each State party should inform the Secretary-General of the United Nations of the name and address of the authority or authorities that might assist other States parties in developing and implementing specific measures for the prevention of corruption.
وقد أُقرَّ صراحةً بالحاجة إلى التعاون في هذا الميدان في الفقرة 3 من المادة 6 من الاتفاقية، التي نصَّت على أن تقوم كل دولة طرف بإبلاغ الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة باسم وعنوان السلطة أو السلطات التي يمكن أن تساعد الدول الأطراف على وضع وتنفيذ تدابير محددة لمنع الفساد.
