16. In its resolution 43/1 on the release of women and children taken hostage, including those subsequently imprisoned, in armed conflicts,8 the Commission condemned violent acts against women and children in areas of armed conflict, strongly urged all parties to armed conflicts to respect fully the norms of international humanitarian law in armed conflict, and called for the immediate release of those taken hostage.
١٦ - وفي قرارها ٤٣/١، بشأن تحرير النساء واﻷطفال الذين يؤخذون رهائن في النزاعات المسلحة، بمن فيهم أولئك الذين يسجنون فيما بعد)٨(، أدانت اللجنة أعمال العنف التي ترتكب ضد النساء واﻷطفال في مناطق النزاع المسلح، وحثت بقوة جميع اﻷطراف في النزاعات المسلحة على الاحترام التام لمعايير القانون اﻹنساني الدولي في النزاع المسلح، ودعت إلى القيام فورا بإطلاق سراح اﻷشخاص المأخوذين رهائن.
