54- وقد صدّقت السلفادور على اتفاقية منظمة العمل الدولية بشأن حظر أسوأ أشكال عمل الأطفال والإجراءات الفورية للقضاء عليها (الاتفاقية رقم 182)(46)، وهي اتفاقية تُلزم الدولة بأن تتخذ بسرعة تدابير فورية وفعالة تكفل بموجبها حظر أسوأ أشكال عمل الأطفال والقضاء عليها(47).

An ILO Committee of Experts noted that a national commission for legal and institutional reform for children and young persons has recently been established, with a view to taking immediate measures to secure the prohibition and elimination of the worst forms of child labour.
وأشارت لجنة خبراء تابعة لمنظمة العمل الدولية إلى أن لجنة وطنية للإصلاح القانوني والمؤسسي فيما يخص الأطفال وصغار السن أنشئت في الآونة الأخيرة بهدف اتخاذ تدابير فورية لضمان حظر أسوأ أشكال عمل الأطفال والقضاء عليها(51).

16. The Worst Forms of Child Labour Convention No. 182, accompanied by Recommendation No. 190, reflects a global consensus that immediate and effective measures should be taken to secure the prohibition and elimination of the worst forms of child labour as a matter of urgency (article 1).

Cape Verde is involved in an ongoing regional project on the prevention and elimination of child labour in West African countries, financed by the ILO International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC), the purpose of which is to strengthen local institutions and to support the establishment and strengthening of responsible, effective mechanisms for promoting prevention and elimination of the worst forms of child labour.
63- ويشارك الرأس الأخضر في مشروع إقليمي حالياً لمنع عمل الأطفال والقضاء عليه في بلدان أفريقيا الغربية، يموله البرنامج الدولي للقضاء على عمل الأطفال التابع لمنظمة العمل الدولية. ويهدف البرنامج أيضاً إلى تعزيز المؤسسات المحلية ودعم إنشاء الهياكل المسؤولة والفعالة والنهوض بها، بما يكفل منع أسوأ أشكال عمل الأطفال والقضاء عليها.

Furthermore, Thailand is a State party to five of the eight core conventions under the International Labour Organization pertaining to forced labour and its abolition (Conventions Nos. 29 and 105), equal remuneration between men and women for work of equal value (Convention No. 100), minimum age for employment (Convention No. 138), and the prohibition and elimination of the worst forms of child labour (Convention No. 182).

While noting information from the Government that the National Children's Council, established and officially launched in 2001, is responsible for monitoring the rules and regulations pertaining to children, the Committee requested the Government to provide information on the role of the Council with regard to the prevention and elimination of the worst forms of child labour and on the results achieved.
20- وأحاطت اللجنة علماً بالمعلومات الواردة من الحكومة بأن المجلس الوطني للطفولة، الذي تم إنشاؤه وبدء العمل فيه رسمياً عام 2001، مسؤول عن رصد القواعد والأنظمة المتعلقة بالأطفال، ولكنها طلبت من الحكومة تقديم معلومات عن دور المجلس فيما يتعلق بمنع أسوأ أشكال عمل الأطفال والقضاء عليها وعن النتائج المحققة(34).
