٥ - يرحب باﻹجراءات العملية التي اتخذتها حكومة أنغولا لمتابعة الالتزام الذي تعهد به رئيس أنغولا للمبعوث الخاص لﻷمين العام في ٥ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٩ بشأن التعاون الذي سيقدم إلى اﻷمم المتحدة فيما تبذله من جهود للبحث واﻹنقاذ، ويشجعها على مواصلة تقديم هذا التعاون؛

2. Welcomes also the support provided by the United Nations Development Programme to the International Committee for the follow-up of the Bangui Agreements, and encourages it to continue this support;

Recognizes that the Office for Economic and Social Council Support and Coordination in the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the Secretariat plays a valuable role as focal point within the Secretariat on the issue, and encourages it to continue to interact and coordinate with the relevant entities of the United Nations system and coordinate their contribution to the intergovernmental process;
12 - تسلم بأن مكتب دعم وتنسيق شؤون المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في إدارة الشؤون الاقتصادية والاجتماعية في الأمانة العامة يضطلع بدور قيم كجهة تنسيق داخل الأمانة العامة بشأن هذه المسألة، وتشجع المكتب على مواصلة التفاعل والتنسيق مع الكيانات المعنية في منظومة الأمم المتحدة وتنسيق إسهامها في العملية الحكومية الدولية؛
