In this context, in 2011, on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Declaration on the Right to Development, the Committee adopted a statement on the importance and relevance of the right to development (E/C.12/2011/2);

7. The Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, in a statement on the importance and relevance of the right to development adopted in May 2011, resolved to continue monitoring the implementation of all the rights protected under the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, which also contribute to the full realization of the relevant elements of the right to development (see E/C.12/2011/2).
7 - وعبرت لجنة الحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية، في بيان بشأن أهمية وملاءمة الحق في التنمية اعتمد في أيار/مايو 2011، عن تصميمها على متابعة رصد تنفيذ جميع الحقوق المشمولة بالحماية في طار العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية، وهو ما يسهم أيضا في إعمال العناصر المتصلة بالحق في التنمية إعمالاً تاماً (انظر E/C.12/2011/2).

During the current reporting period, the Committee adopted two statements, one on the obligations of States parties regarding the corporate sector and economic, social and cultural rights and the second on the importance and relevance of the right to development, adopted on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Declaration on the Rights to Development (see annex VI, section B, to the present report).
