On 12 April 1994, the Iraqi Minister of Information declared, in a press conference, that Iraq had informed the United States of important information about the World Trade Center bombing in New York, and that Iraq requested Americans to set up a committee supervised by the United States Congress in order to allow Iraq to transmit the information to Washington. The Government of the Republic of Iraq affirms that Saudi Arabia's decision to expropriate the Iraqi pipeline constitutes illegal seizure of assets whose ownership by Iraq is uncontested and that Iraq will pursue all means of legal redress in order to secure the return of its property.
وتؤكد حكومة جمهورية العراق أن قرار المملكة العربية السعودية بمصادرة أنبوب النفط العراقي هو استيلاء غير مشروع على أموال ثابتة العائدية للعراق، وإن العراق سيسلك كل السبل القانونية لاستعادة ممتلكاته.
